Join the Conversation: Why Abortion Is Essential to Democracy—and Democracy Is Essential for Reproductive Justice


The combat for abortion rights, for equality, and for consultant democracy are all in service of the identical aim: justice for all.

Final November, Ms. partnered with the Brennan Heart for Justice at NYU Legislation to create a ground-breaking microsite: “Abortion Is Essential to Democracy.” As Jezebel reported about it: “A suppose tank that focuses on voting rights, cash in politics and the legal justice system is for the primary time highlighting how assaults on democracy have led to the largest menace to abortion entry because the Roe v. Now we’re following up with a dwell dialogue co-hosted by Ms. and the Brennan Heart, together with NYU Legislation’s Birnbaum Girls’s Management Community. Panelists will dig deep on key questions raised within the collection:

  • How ought to we consid­er parallel affronts to participation and illustration—the wave of voting restrictions and outsize position of huge cash in polit­ics?
