The Wounds of Love –

Fr. Jeremiah Shryock, CFR, provides a homily to the nuns of the monastery of Bethlehem in Livingston Manor, New York, the place he serves as chaplain.  “Love,” he says, “whether it is to be honest and genuine, all the time prices one thing.”  He factors out that “Jesus’ wounds are the seen signal of his whole reward of self” and that even after the Resurrection, the marks of the Ardour stay as an everlasting reminder that “He’s all the time our sacrificial sufferer.”  Will we settle for God’s love because the honest and genuine and completely unselfish reward that it’s?
